Ingredients

  • 175g butter

  • 175g sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 2 oranges

  • 200g flour

  • 1 tbs baking powder

  • 1 orange zest

  • 1 orange juice

  • For the syrup
  • 175g sugar

  • 3 oranges

Directions

  • Mix the butter with the sugar.
  • Incorporate the eggs one at a time, the grated oranges and the sieved dry ingredients, alternating them with the orange juice.
  • Pour the mixture into a 20 cm mold, buttered and floured, and bring it to a moderate heat oven for 30/40 minutes.
  • For the syrup
  • Mix the juice of the oranges with the sugar until it boils, leave for a couple of minutes and remove from the heat.
  • Take the cake out of the oven and sprinkle it with the warm syrup. Wait for the dough to absorb all the liquid before unmolding it.
